Being a doula is about so much more than running a business. I believe continuous, compassionate birth support is a vital part of maternity care and something every woman deserves access to, regardless of her circumstances.
From Doula to Founder
My work as a doula has shown me firsthand just how powerful it can be for a woman to have consistent, compassionate support throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. It has also shown me that far too many women simply do not have access to that support.
That realization led me to found the Labor of Love Family Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to professional doula care for women and families who may otherwise go without it. As Founder and Executive Director, my role is focused on growing the Foundation, developing community partnerships, fundraising, securing grant funding, and building sustainable programs that connect women with trained doulas.
As the Foundation grows, I will continue serving a limited number of private Labor of Love Doula clients each year. This allows me to remain deeply connected to the birth work that inspired this mission while dedicating more of my time to expanding doula access throughout our communities.
